Recommendation for engine swap

Hi folks, I'm a WA del Sol owner (live in Mill Creek), not yet a member of Team del Sol WA.

I've owned my sol for almost 10 years and I was thinking about an engine swap. Any recommendations for shops that would do this? Also, any suggestions on what to put in besides a B16A?

Will need a little more information here. I can not get on the net much, so response may take about a week. Shoot me an email and I will can provide you with some info as I am looking into some swaps myself. Just let me know what model you have, and what you are trying to accomplish with it... ie: are you thinking of racing it or something. Geo or Rob may also have some more info for you. I can help you come up with a set up though, just depends on what you are trying to accomplish here. I know Speedline in Tacoma does swaps.

The choices you have are: B16a, B17, B18 (all blocks from the LS to the Type R), B20 (using a LS computer to control things), all will fit with just using stock parts available as they came from the factory with a b16 installed. As you didn't say what you car model is, there are some more factors that will have to be addressed such as brake and suspension upgrades if you are starting with an S model. Don't want to just go fast and not be able to stop it.
Lets take for example an S with a B20 swap would put you as fast or faster then a DOHC VTEC model without the hassle of wiring it up for VTEC, just need to upgrade the brake system and suspension.
I won't go into the swap info as they're other sites that have that info for you.
It will come down to how much you're willing to spend and what you want it to be in the end that will dictate which engine to go with.
